no power til 3:00 am geeesh

it's been that way since 1:00 pm   We are told it will be restored at 3:00 am !
At my daughters now.
No waterfall, no computer, no heat.  We sure are dependent on electricity! :'(

Oh no... It doesn't happen here very often even with all the blizzardy conditions. Mostly it's when some idiot runs into a transformer pole and busts it all up. Or sometimes when a squirrel short circuits everything and gets fried.

We can get along without lights (I have all the oil lamps from the farm), we have a propane grill and camp stove, we have a battery radio, we have the water in the pool to flush the toilets, and if it gets bad, we borrow a generator from somebody.

Now to ander mail.

And oh yeah the waterfall is running.  I'd hate to have to prime it in the dark and cold.

Awwww, poor thing. Yup, I gotta ride on ya a bit. but remember, i'm just teasing with ya.

 Remember when we had the winds and were out 7 days and it was HOT (some people longer) then the ice storm 8 days here (some longer) freezing temps, everything in ice. No heat, nothing...burrrrr

Glad to hear it was only out a short time for ya, and yes it does make a person realize how dependant we are on this things. I believe it taught my kids a valuable lesson, and it helps them grasp the stories that grandma's and grandpa's say...well when i was a kid, I didn't have ....this and that..

It also had my kids playing reg board games, cards etc.  It was nice.
