Anyone ever get swans visitng?
« on: April 13, 2010, 11:24:28 AM »
I just adore them. they fly over, but never come to visit. Maybe my pond is just too small. I just want them to stay long enough for awesome photos!! I have had ducks before, but they don'd hang around long enough to do much damage. (we have dogs)

Maybe the dogs are scaring the swans too?

We don't have local swans. :(

There is a lake nearby that attract all kinds of fowl, including swans.  But I heard that the swans were "planted" and they hang around the lake all year round.  They are rather destructive to the plants and have very large ugly poopies.  :P  Sort of would not appreciate them in my tiny ponds.
