Floating Oase Skimmers?
« on: June 06, 2010, 06:19:13 AM »
Has anyone tried the Floating Skimmers? Unfortunately when we built our pond, we did not design it to accommodate a skimmer. I haven't figured out a way to modify the pond without serious tear up. I saw a floating skimmer and thought that might be what I need. Just didn't want to shell out the money unless I read some reviews.

I have one...worked great for the small pine needles dropped from the trees next to my pond.  Only problem I had was it caught slow fish.  Lost two fancies that were just smaller than a tennis ball and many baby fishies.  The whole pump would rise and empty of water when the fishies pushed the skimmer flap out  :'( :'( :'(  Otherwise it worked great.  I only use mine now with great supervision.

Hope this helps.
