Dumb question
«
on:
May 28, 2010, 01:24:46 PM »
I started to reach into the lily tank this morning...but stopped short. I had just sprayed with sunscreen. Do I need to be concerned with this oily stuff being in the pond water? I've never been a sunscreen user...makes me sweat...but I'm getting too brown too early in the summer and my skin is so dry, I gotta do something.
Anyone have any ideas?

It's never stopped me and I use waterproof.
No fish or plant fatalities.

If you think that your question is dumb, imagine how totally stupid you will look if you don't ask it.

Check the consumer reports. The claims of sunscreens are vastly overstated.
Brett used to pour diesel around teh edges of ponds to kill mosquito larvae. I don't think sunscreen would ever compete with that.

An elderly neighbor lady of mine used to use diesel in a liquid dish soap bottle to drip on dandelions...she didn't kill her grass either. No dandelions though.

I wear both the sunscreen and the bug spray. Always wondered about both though.
