Mickie Dolenz & "Pippin"

I'm playing in the pit orchestra for the national tour of "Pippin" this week in Hershey.  Mickie Dolenz is playing Charlemagne.  He was one of the Monkees.

I remember faithfully watching the Monkees TV show every Saturday morning in the 60's.

1500 gallon pond. Most residents are 11 yrs old. Most are Koi, with one 9 yr old bullhead catfish. Residents took a trip of one hr to their new home. We all moved to this home just over a yr ago. They love their new digs!

I still like their music. The last time I saw Micky, he still looked like he did but older. I think Peter Tork and Davie were on the same show.

I haven't seen him except for on stage.  He has a fake beard for the role and a king's garb, so I can't really tell how he looks now.  The cast doesn't usually associate with the local musicians (peasants!).

One of the (luscious) female dancers hangs out with us in the green room (orchestra room) at intermission.   o(:-) {:-P;; (8:-)  Perks of the trade, I guess . . .

I loved the Monkees too, and remember my older siblings laughing at me because they were not a "real" band amongst the true rock N rollers of the 60's & 70's. But heck, they were there on TV every morning at 7:00 am.
From what I've read about it (not much), Mickie Dolenz has made his own way through the years. He's probably accomplished more than the others.

The drummer travelling with the tour is a Mickie Dolenz trivia nut.  He knows every episode of "The Monkees" including a lot of the dialog.  He says you can watch entire episodes on YOUTUBE. 

Six-day tour in Hershey ended tonight - no more national tours until spring.  Back to reality (regular life) for me tomorrow . . .  :'( >:(- &-) >:(
