Electric shut off??
« on: July 11, 2010, 09:11:05 AM »
Anyone out there have any ideas for an electric shut off if the pond water level goes too low? I would like something that will shut the pumps off if the water level drops to a certain level. Love some ideas.

About a month ago I woke up to about 8" of water in my pond :(.  Funny thing was that the day before I had asked about a low water shut off at my local pond store.  They didn't know about any on the market.

After almost losing my fish I did some research:  Little Giant makes a low water shut off for about $60.  However, given my current financial status, I was delighted  O0 when someone told me about a sump pump low water shut off for $20 at Lowes.

So far no more water disasters, but if there ever is another one, I am covered!!!  Or, I guess I should say my fish will be covered - with a pond full of water!
