deck built on new house
« on: July 20, 2010, 08:25:01 PM »
Heres the deck we built on new house last weekend!  Simple, but so nice!  So much easier to get in house now.

Good job!  Nothing like sitting on the porch on a hot day catching a cool breeze.

Very nice Tonya--just that little bit gives you so much more 'living space'!   8)

Nice!  If it were mine it'd be covered in potted plants in no time flat!  Enjoy it =)  Now you just need a nice comfy rocker  o(:-)

Thanks Mikey, and that's the truth.  Now if we could just get a few more cool breezes!

Kittyzee, thanks, and it sure is great and very convenient!

Thanks Julles, it's just shy of 8' by 28'.

KatFish, thanks, I'm thinking some kind of swing, that would be great!  And I will be getting me some more potted plants for it also!

Thanks emm, it sure will come in handy on them rainy days!

2vetts, If you are refering to the third picture, that was how we bought the house, deck was tore out and the roof portion was only supported by the landscaping timbers, not even attached at top or bottom, just propped up, and yes very crooked.  I assure you they are all straight now.  Now can I ask, sir????

What a terrific deck. Just the right size. More pictures when you get the plants and things arranged?

Thanks Bonnie, and when there is a breeze we get a nice one.

Kay, Thanks! I will take some more pic's later as I get some more stuff done.  Big tree in front of it, going to be gone tomorrow.  Nice shade, but blocks view and will give more room for plantings, pond, etc.

What a big job. It's like adding on another room.

2 Vetts, maybe it is the door that is crooked. LOL.

No problem 2vetts, I was just curious.  The guy on the deck is my fiance!  I am usually taking the pic's so, I'm not usually in any of them.
