New fry - batch #2

Last week my fish were spawning again.  I scooped out the plastic floating asparagus ferns and put them into another 100-gallon stock tank of aged water with algae growing in it.

Just checked today - another batch of fry free swimming.

Between batch #1 last month and this batch there are hundreds.  Hopefully, some will be midnight shubunkins as the possible parents are either midnights or sarassa comets.

A lot of the fry got boiled when the temps hit the 90s for several days last month.  Unusually high temps that early in the year.

Still have about 100 left, though.  Hard to count since both stock tanks have pea-soup algae water.
