Seems it never rain in Southern California.........
« on: May 24, 2011, 12:49:27 PM »
Not true!  It's almost June and for the first time I can remember it has been raining at least once a week!  Enough for me to collect water in my trash cans (just for rain water) to water plants outside.  Weather is so fickle these days.

So I got the chance to visit The Getty Museum last week after a night of rain.  This will have been the first time I visited their gardens this time of year.  I was hoping there would be lots of spring blooms....

Well the gardens were closed because of rain (from last night!)!!  >:(-  Oh well,  spent more time in the museum  ::)

Gardens from afar and above
Fluffy clouds
Bougainvillea curve
As close as we could get to gardens

No Gardens today!?!  I resorted to clicking potted plants and the terraced desert garden.

Can't complain....I love overcast days and rain.

Wow, great pics!  I love cloudy days and rain too, but a break would be nice....

Yes, I spotted the weed  ;D  It's been about four years since we have visited the Getty.  We would visit it more often except for the horrible traffic on the 405

Yeah, traffic is always horrible but Carpool has been extended further north of Orange County, so that helps.  Getty still has free admission but parking has gone up to $15.  Still worth it!
