Not jumping its been 6 years and frogs only when I hatched eggs.  They were Calif tree frogs.  They leave or get eaten.

Mostly over the 10 years I've had a pond, the frogs seem to come and go on their own. I too have bought tadpoles what were ready to morph hoping they will stay but I never see them after that. One summer I had a male, female and small one that I called their child, Frieda, Freddie, and Fritz. But come the next spring, they floated to the top dead. I had a huge bullfrog in the back preform in the spring. He loved it because it was totally mucky. But we emptied it, cleaned it, and put fresh water back in. We put him in. He stayed maybe 2 days and is gone now. Then in the front, yesterday I found a female by the little pond. Wonder if she stayed..

Do the turtles bother/eat them?

The reason I ask.........I always have frogs around my small pond, a few days ago I noticed a couple doing lots of jumping into and swimmimng across the pond. I saw this several times. Usually they just sit motionless for hours. I then noticed a small snake swimming in the water where a frog just jumped from. The snake was too small to do any harm. (I think???) A couple days later, no frogs around the pond.

I think the harassment from the snake had them move out.  Coulld it be a similar situation with your turtles?

well I don't think so. the frog s full grown. I never have seen it yet, only spotted it in the photo I posted.
I am puzzled because there are no bodies of water within 10 miles.
Actually I don't really know for sure.  They coexist in the wild?

I don't know much about turtle's habits. To me, they seem very curious and active. I would think they would investigate a frog if they saw it out of curiosity, even if they wouldn't actually eat it. I don't know, just my thoughts without any turtle experience.

I'm thinking this may be too much for a frog. Their instinct may kick in advising them to move on.

Maybe take a look around your pond with a flashlight at night. You may find you have a few more frogs you don't know about.

Such a cute picture of your turtles.  How many do you have?

Congrats on the frog.  Our pond is alive with them this summer.  When you walk around it, it's a constant "squeak, plop", and hundreds of tadpoles!

Karen this is a desert, no water near, It all comes from far away, so where did it come from?
I still have yet to see him or his pals!  Only in the photo I took.
Windwalker had a good idea for me , check at night with a flash light!  I will!

Have  6 turtles  I was sure just 5. One had dissapared.  Seein six at once is rare. One seems very reclusive.

They are at last, very friendly.  A small one swims as though he is listing to one side.  He appears healthy. Maybe Turtle Mike knows why!
