solar fountain
« on: June 13, 2011, 09:06:19 AM »
Hi all
I moved and had to leave my pond behind :'(
But now I have a neat grove of oak and walnut trees with some beautiful rocks. I can't make a pond in there but I've cleared it and would like to add some kind of water feature-a fountain or something. It's too far for an electric cord so I need a solar set up. I have seen some but they have a kind of short cord to the solar panel, about 10 feet.
I need to have much more than that to get the collector into a sunny spot-I haven't measured but I'm gonna say about 25 feet.
So can I get one of these fountains, but maybe find a longer connecting cord somewhere? I've never done anything solar.
Thanks for any help!
Missy

Sorry you don't have your pond anymore.  Maybe large barrels or liners would be a new start.  I've never had any luck with small solar products.  I've tried a fountain spray and lights in my pond.  Neither worked for longer than a month.  Good luck!
