I'm so glad I'm not the only one!
My filter got fried due to a power surge, so the water is really bad! Not to mention all the leaves that got by the netting we set up this fall!
We still have some fish hangin out though! (we have counted 4 or 5 out of 6 origionals!)
I've been concerned about the coons when the pond filter and fountain fried.
I've gotta take some time and vacuum the leaves out and clean some stuff around the pond (175 gal above ground, surrounded by many plants, first year pond)
Nancy-going crazy! Want to come?

Nice as always.  My fish are still eating, but not much.  Everything is looking so ratty.
Cold winds for a week..  No frost though.

I am very willing to move, the wife is not. My point?

If I did I would pay Carlos to fly here and build a new pond.  Sounds extravagant? I bet it's not when you take into account all the beginner mistakes I made.

Carlos, your holding pond post is destined to become a tutorial! O0 O0

Its nice to see movement in some fish, those are very pretty.  I can see mine hanging out on the bottom of the pond.  Although our temps are that bad, we've only had a couple cold weeks.  Very above normal temps here, and loving it.

Thanks all ! I'll try and get the better quality Olympus, digital up and going here soon enough for clearer pics ;)  The pond I believe is a touch under 700gallons.

Are you sure you won't come to Dallas to build me a pond? My new backyard is completely empty, except for one crape myrtle. Come on, you know you want to!!!!

beautiful carlos!  I agree with theresa.. that yellow and white is beautiful!  My fish have never been that active and after a year are still very skiddish of me and not friendly at al.  I am beginning to wonder if they hate me :)

I have an underwater pond cam. I keep an eye on my big koi that way. It is hooked up to my tv in the kitchen. I might have snow on the ground but can see my fish swimming. It is great.
