We were going out to play in the sprinkler, and had to walk by the pond, Grandma can I please go in the pond?

I wear waders now days. I had a Pericardial effusion, Darn near killed me. They never determined how I got it.'The Infectious disease Dr. asked if id been out of the country? I had not.  I mentioned the pond. he said no.  My legs are often cut from gardening and face it, the pond is filled with bacterias (poop)  I think waders are a must.
I would caution letting anyone in there. {nono}
Former member John Johns had a similar experience.

In her four years that was the first time IN the pond, thigh high was all she was allowed. She is wet from the sprinkler. It went sprinker, pond, bath tub. I guess the high heat and humidity probaly got the best of grandma judgement. Now the problem will be her begging everytime she visits to get back in.
Thanks for the words of caution Jerry, they did not fall on deaf ears.
Grandpa and I had already decided it was a one time deal, but that one time was sure fun for her.

The photos are priceless!  I'd heed Jerry's warning too.  Your GD is adorable!  She looks like she's having so much fun I'd do it too, if the nibbling didn't freak me out   :D ;D

I was told that 30 years ago I'd not have survived.
I lost 25 ponds in a few weeks,
Amazingly I was never scared. No idea why!
She took good care of me...
