Pond is showing signs of Fall
« on: September 17, 2011, 05:50:59 PM »
The Pickeral Rush is failing fast and the Lizards Tail has already been trimmed back. There are still a few blooms coming on my Lillies.

Jim, it still looks very nice.  My lilies are slowing down also.  Wednesday and Thursday the high was about 60*

Ditto to what the other said. Very serene and pretty!  I am ready to slow down on the gardening.  We got some rain yesterday and today.  So it is a nice change.

Still looks great to me!

Ours was slowing down too.  I was tired of looking at all the yellow lily pads and the leaves from the surrounding trees were beginning to fall early because of no rain.  One day last week we decided to do some cutting back and ended up cutting EVERYTHING.  Kind of sad now, but at least I can see the fish and the leaves can find the skimmers.  I have a few lily buds popping up.  O0

Jim, your impatients still looking good.  My pickerel rush and lizard's tails are yellowing as well.  Temp has dropped big time so I'm thinking of vacuuming the pond bottom this coming weekend and clean the pond as much as possible.  Your pond looks great and has a calming effect. O0

I like the way you have the pond situated right outside the door.

Here, it's still in the 90*'s, and things are green and .... well, I wanted to say lush, and they are, in the pond.  But everything in the ground or in pots is suffering from lack of rain, or too much tap water.

I LOVE the impatiens!!!  Now that our waterfall is a bit more cascading I'm definitely going to add some next spring and see how they look!
