I just arrived at my fathers home and will be seeing my own son and his new daughter soon.

I can't imagine how excited you must be!

I can remember the moment I placed Jamie, when she was a newborn, into my moms arms for the first time. She is my moms first (and only) grandchild. Watching my mom, I saw the transformation.

Her face shed YEARS of stress lines and grief lines. (she has lost my dad and sister in '79, and less than a year before Jamie was born, she lost my stepdad :'( :'( :'( ) That pinched, stressed out look vanished...and she beamed, GLOWED with happiness, with the ultimate fulfillment as a woman...to become a grandmother.

Which is now my ultimate goal...(when I grow up

)...grandmotherhood.

Congrats Sean, on making the ultimate accomplishment...Becoming a grandparent!

I hope someone takes pix of you meeting your grand-daughter for the first time.
They will be priceless.

AND PLEASE POST 'EM ASAP!

I finally got to meet my granddaughter, she is so beautiful

What a wonderful picture. You will cherrish that the rest of your life. I have a 4 genaration one of just us ladies. My mom, me, my doughter, and my granddoughter when she was first born and before diagnosis. then this year at xmas we got another one almost 4 years later. Thank God for the camara and the 4 years we have had Bekka. She is beautiful Sean.

that is so cool. What a lucky guy you are. It is always so interesting to see the different generations.

I will always remember taking my grandson out fishing on Lake Michigan when he was about 8 months old. Of course I ran 3 lines for him.
