I have signed off on all the conditions of the sale and the house is mine.   @O@

Of course, I can't actually move in yet, but it's done.  Now, I wonder if I can charge them rent for living there yet.....  ::)

Doesn't your contract stipulate a deadline for the owners to vacate? I sure hope so!
Around here it is usually within 30 days after closing.

Our realtor came up with a new listing for us to see today. We know which place it is and it may be a good possibility. If we like it we will have to jump on it and hope no one comes along and beats us out of it.

Thanks.  I can hardly wait to see the SOLD sign on it!

The possession date is March 30.  A bit longer than normal, but the current owners are close to 80 and moving to a different city and their condo isn't ready yet so I gave them the time they need to make it all happen.  They were very grateful to have a choice in dates so they didn't need to move in with their kids.  I need time to plan and arrange a guy to do my bathroom fixes anyway so I could use the breathing room too.
