At the top left of the screen, it says, "Shouldn't you be going to bed soon, Esther?" Since when does the forum interact with us, like one of us?

I know Esther, but it made me smile the other evening when it said that I was "up quite late tonight, huh, Kittyzee?"  I got a kick out of it!   :)

How do you mean "fix our profile"?
Esther, I got the same thing too and started a thread about "Shouldn't You Be Going to Bed, Greenthumbnails?". I was kinda shocked and logged off quickly, ....and started lurking instead, LOL... {:-P;;

Apparently when Sean had to do the last major update to the website some of these strange things started happening.  (Strange to us computer dummies anyway)

If when you log in, you see a message greeting you with the wrong time of day and you would like to fix it:

Sean left these instructions on another thread

It appears that everyone will need to reset their forum offset time.

Click on "profile" on the header line --- choose forum profile (from the drop down) --- choose modify profile (from the drop down) --- choose Look and layout (from the drop down box)

then...ta da...

Time Offset:
Number of hours to +/- to make displayed time equal to your local time.  (auto detect)
Current forum time: June 26, 2012, 11:11:05 AM

I know...it is clear as mud...but maybe this will help somebody.

never experienced this and wonder if gender plays a role in being asked about going to ......oh, never mind i'm probably wrong .

I think I will remove that greeting screen, it is an option on the forum. I can customize it but for some reason, nobody's actual forum time is matching up with the server time. I could customize the greetings based on the time of day, the ones people are experiencing are the included ones, I didn't even know what they were until I logged in last night and the forum was saying shouldn't you be in bed yet???

For now I will turn this feature off, If people want it, please give a show of hands.
