Here's my pond. I have 2 mollies in it.

Beautiful! I think I would have to do tiny miniature plants around that pond, with some fairies. Sweet little molly fish too.. :)

My favorite garden center had miniature ivys that had leaves no bigger than my little fingernail!  I bought one, along with some other miniature leaved plants and put them in a planter on my porch.  They had miniature landscapes made up with these with tiny little sitting areas, pathways and little fairies.  They would look charming around your pond.  I love your little retreat!  o(:-)

Thanks Sean and LuAnn.  :)

A retreat is what I would like it to be for the fish and critters. Sometimes I wish I could shrink and swim in the pond myself.  ;D

Those miniature ivy plants and fairies and paths sound so cute, LuAnn. Do you have pix? I can't wait to try that out on my pond. The only plant life I have around it now is jasmine vines. It hangs over into the pond. I had some lily pads but a turtle bit the stems in two. All that's left is the bulbs.

I'll see if I can get the pix into this new computer, but I'm not guaranteeing anything...I need the time to figure it all out and that's what I'm short on at the moment!  ;) But I will certainly try!

The 2 mollies live in harmony with the tadpoles. Note tadpole on right.

Thanks LuAnn. :) You can see how little my pond is compared to a cat. My kitty's name is Lipstick. She just had a litter of 6 kittens!

I also love the clear water!  Mollies are great fish to raise...you may end up with dozens if you have mates!

Lipstick is sweet and I'd love to see a pic of her fur babies! Cats, ponds, and fish go well together....except I did have one cat (out of many) that liked to play with my fish (which wasn't so good for the fish) .  She wasn't a killer intentionally but when she would "pet" them, she would snag them with her claw and flip them up on the pondside where they would flip and flop (great toys for kitties) and then when they stopped she would get bored I guess and there they were: stuck on land.  I found a couple of big comets like that....it broke my heart but what do you do, it's in their nature?  :)

I thought you might want to meet the father. He lives down the street. His name is Domino.

I'll take pix of the kittens with my digital camera and post directly.

I'm sorry about the comets. I wonder why the cat didn't eat them. I used to have comets in my pond but a turtle ate them.  >:(

Well, she just wanted to play and I guess she didn't realize they could be food.  I would shoo her away from the pond when I would catch her studying them.  I have bull frogs that will eat my comets, so when they get on the large size...I relocate them!  Domino is a beautiful tuxedo boy cat!! I love his white paws with the little black toe beans!  Be careful that he doesn't try to harm the kittens, sometimes toms will kill kittens if they think they are competition for him.   :(

Yes, it seems that a pond is but a smorgasbord to critters. Or in the case of your cat, a toy store! LOL. I relocated a turtle once that was eating my comets. I drove it down the street and let it go in the woods.

Domino is a laid back kind of dad. LOL. He lounges around and doesn't pay much attention to the kittens. But thanks for the info. I'll watch him.

I think one of my mollies might be pregnant. I'm not sure. Will post pix soon of any offspring.
