Man It's Hot
« on: July 24, 2013, 12:38:54 PM »
It was a nice warm 100* yesterday with a humidity of 37%...no rain in sight.
I'm hating the heat, but my lilies don't seem to mind.

The only one that seems to 'melt' is the Arc En Ceil, and the pads make it worth it.  The pink bloom is Pink Ribbon.

There is never enough room for all of the water lilies that I want ;-)

I am sweating to death in this heat.  We are moving cattle today.  My lilies seem to be loving this heat.  Maybe rain tomorrow.

Moving cattle in the heat and dust is bad...but branding in the heat is worse.

We are praying for rain here.  Hope y'all get some too.

Hoping we have rain coming. It's so bad here now. Hope you get some your way also.  The ponds are just about the only thing green out here now.  If the cows  8-)~ever got to them, no more lilies. {nono}

 I refused to help with branding or castration.   ;)There are limits to what I can handle.

It is hot. At least the humidity went back to normal for us. I don't know how people do it that live in normally humid areas.
None of my plants, land or water, have done well this year. Its been too hot and dry for the most part. Many things just burned up.

So far, I have been able to water my plants.   My tanks actually look great.

Surrounding areas have gotten rain yesterday and today, maybe tonight will be our turn.

weatherman just said that this summer we have had 30 days that didn't reach 80 and only 5 that have reached 90 , both unusual for us .

This summer, we've had some afternoons topping off in the 70's with a cloudy overcast, some in the 80's with light rains and many in the 90 with humidity in the teens.  We' even had a couple of mornings down to 50* in the month of July.

This week we've had 1 1/2" rain followed by a couple of cooler days.  It was back up to 100* yesterday and will be the same today.
