Need help with piping a Aquadyne 4.4 C filter
« on: December 08, 2013, 09:06:51 AM »
I just purchased an Aquadyne 4.4 C filter with a blower for my pond   ( 3000 gal ) .  I am using a Sequence Pro  pump 1/3 hp  along with a Aqua Sterilizer  80 watt.    Does anyone have a filter  similiar to this and if so  could you send me a pic of the piping schematics ?  I  tried Aquadyne manuel but was not much help.  I know the basics but would like some imput from someone who is using one.  Any help with valves etc would definitely help.     Thanks

Sorry don't have that particular filter, but one bit of advice for any piping, unions, or connections is to use rubber sleeves with O clamps to join them, instead of gluing them together.  Unless you have a tremendous amount of pressure these work very well and allow you some "slop" and wiggle room to maneuver them around.  Also very easy to undo when you need to move or remove a pump or filter.  This allows for vibration dampening too.
