Taros
« on: August 04, 2014, 01:22:59 PM »
I bought several varieties of taros last fall, and have them in a shallow pond so that they keep "wet feet." They are doing great! The water in the pond is about 2/3 up the sides of the pots, and the pots have holes in the bottom of them so the soil keeps wet, but the water is not over the top of the soil.  @O@ Here is a pic of them in the pond, and then of each variety individually.

I like taro, but they do not do well in our hot dry winds.
