How long will wet pets survive?
« on: August 26, 2014, 05:09:39 PM »
I have hired someone to feet the pond etc.  in the unlikely event that person failed me.... How long would mt Goldie's and turtles survive?
We will assume  the pump remains sound.

In the past, I have not fed the goldies at all, letting them eat bugs and all. Of course, there are plenty of natural bugs in my area...
Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.

I agree re; the Goldie's.  What about the turtles?  Yeah they can eat the Goldie's.

When our weather gets cooler my red ear slider turtles eat less than during warm/hot weather.  Usually around October to March they hibernate and do not eat at all.  But then again they live in their own pond....no fishies in with them.

All my fish should be able to eat the algae (and my waterplants  >:(- ) with very little fish food (pellets) year-round.  Goldies and Koi are hardly fed during the winter.

Hope that helps Jerry.
