For those who would like to know what Joyce looks like...

This video is from a pond party (Not mine) taken in 2000, seven years ago.  Joyce and her husband

are in the video, along with Grammiebear, her husband, My wife Karen, Diane and her husband. et.

al.  See if you can identify which is Joyce!!!

Jerry,

Joyce has always been beautiful.  (Bill's not bad either.)  Plus, her bubbly personality in person is something that you can only guess at from her on-line personna. Taking that along with her capability for exquisite photography and immense plant knowledge, and endless generosity, not to mention her considerable artisitic talents, and also an earthy sense of humor, she is a joy to behold and we are fortunate to have her on the forum.  She is one of those people that others are drawn to at any gathering, as she "lights up" any discussion.  Her husband  Bill is one of America's heroes (Marines) and can hold his own in any situation.  I wish he would join in the Forum as well.  In addition to all of the above, she has a wonderful daughter with the same sweet personality as her mother.  I challenge anyone who has actually met her in person not to have the same opinion of our "Swimming Jewel".

I have determined the date of the above video..  It was August 21,1999.

Thanks Steve  o(:-) ...that ponytail has been gone for almost 6 years now. :)
My hair was so thick, in the NC heat I always kept it up.

Yup, that's me in the white sleeveless white shirt Jen,
with mosquitos flying up my nose. :o

Speaking of generous, thanks to John, I went home with a couple gorgeous lilies that day,
including Emily Grant Hutchings which never stopped blooming for the rest of the season.
And when we had the pond club meetings at his house in Charlotte,
we ALWAYS went home with LOTS of goodies.

Vickie,

What browser are you using?  The video is a Wndows Media player "wmv" file..  Try Right clicking on it and click "save target as" and save the file to a known locaton on your hard drive,  Once you have done that, go to the file location and click on it.
check back if that does not work.
