Here are my picks for american idol.  Not based on who I think will win, but on my opinion as to who is the best:

Lakisha Jones
Melinda Doolittle
Sabrina Sloan

I think ALL of the men are substandard compared to previous years.

I have the same picks as you John and also agree about the guys. They just are not bringing it this year. I have a feeling though that at least two of the guys may find their niche and surprise everyone, that is if they can stick around long enough.

Lakisha and Melinda are such sweethearts. 
They both aren't a 10 as far as looks but they've got the talent and personality to make up for it.   
Yes people aren't supposed to vote on looks but let's get real....... they do unfortunately. 

I'm really hoping that they make #1 and #2!
