What kind of resin did you find that worked well for the water?  The fountain looks great.

It's not resin, it's silicone.

I am having trouble with resin staying sticky sometimes. Do you have that?

I only tried one mini pond last year, and after 2 days it was still very gooey so I threw it out.  What kind did you use?  I'm wanting to make my pond, I have my fish, and my lotus's, just no water....LOL. 

I just made some coneflowers today, purplelish and yellow, but the yellow turned out darker afer baked.  Not real happy with those.  I'll probably end up dry brushing some lighter color on them just to give them some depth.

Kathy I am in total AWE  everything is sooooooo cute!!!!  Now I want a fairyland.  I've always loved fairies since I was a little girl, I have quite a few outside and one whole room full of them in the house.  Wish I had the time and paitience to do what you have done.

Marla, you should post some pics of your fairyland. It sounds so sweet! If you ever want some pices, let me know. I am trying to figure out pricing. I know that I can't get money for all the time I put in, but some of them take me litterally 20 hours or more to make (like the ponds, animals and hydrangea shrubs) I am thinking about putting up a website. I have never done it, so I need to figure it out first.

Kim those flowers are terrific! Of course they are as good as mine! I've had some colors turn after baking too, a burgundy clor turned really really dark, and I was ticked as I spent an entire evening making tose flowers! I've had white turn off white too.

I used the clear water resin that you use to make those fake flower vases. BUT it is staying sticky too. I tired brushing extra hardener on top, didn't work. So I haven't put hem outside because they will just get sand and stuff stuck to them and look bad. I shot the pics and brought them in. Another problem with resin is the expense. You can't get much from that little clear water pack. The last pond I made (egypt one in pics) took the entire package and really could have used a little more. So just that cost me $14. Be really careful of the fumes as well, you really should do that outside and with a mask. I do the outside part, but always seem to forge the mask (maybe it's not the Blonde hair after all! haha!)
Man I wish you and Esther lived in my neighborhood! We all could get into some serious trouble together! haha! (this is the most boring unfriendly neighborhood I have ever lived in. Neighbors don't associate with anyone unless they want something. So instead of being happy to see someone coming up the walk, you think "Oh SH@$, what do they want now?" haha!)

Kim, those are beautiful....I don't know where you both find the time.  Kathy I don't really have a fairyland, just lots of figurines (larger) and plaques scattered around the garden.  The one bedroom also has collected figurines.  What you two have done is supurb and I'll have to look into trying something.  Here is a pic. of one of my fairies from last fall, used it as my fall desktop picture.
