my koi please help me identify
« on: September 12, 2006, 10:03:15 AM »
Here are my koi, I didn't get a picture of my other small new one, he tends to hide a lot.  If you know the names of them, I'd love to know!

The third one is the one I think is the baby of the 4th one.

All these were taking at dusk too, so the water is really black, I guess it's a better background, but the water looks really dirty.

the last two it's hard to get a picture because the flash reflects off of them. I know the yellow one is a butterfly, I think called Ogon?

And the white is a platinum Ogon.  Those are the two I just bought.

I don't know what they are but I like the 2nd and 3rd one.
The irony of life is that, by the time you're old enough to know your way around, you're not going anywhere

I don't know their names, but they are beautiful.  That fourth pic, I think I have its mirror image in my pond.

Ponds are like patato chips, ya just can't have one.

I love the 3rd and 4th one.  They are my favorite. They look so pretty when they move.  I've been told the 3rd is the offspring of the 4th x with a goldfish.  I don't know how they know that though!

My guesses... the first one I think is a sanke wanna be.  2nd one I think is a kujaku with that orange spot.  A kujaku should really have more orange color, but that is a neat looking fish with the dark scales.  The 3rd and 4th ones... the 3rd could be a hariwake, the 4th an orenji or benegoi.  5ht one is another sanke wanna be and the 6th one looks like a kohaku.  Impossible to tell on the 7th and the last as you said is a yamabuki ogon
