The damselflies were flocking around the pond Monday afternoon




There were frothy clouds of creamy yellolw flutter-bys, too

Those are great pictures.  I see damselflies and dragonflies a lot, but they never stick around my pond.   :'(

When I was in carpool line yesterday afternoon, I had a really big (like over 4" in body length) dragonfly laying eggs on the hood of my car.  Guess it was shiny and looked like water cuz it's algae green.

I found a huge moth in the stream from my TT back to the pond one night late last summer....  I plucked it out of the water and it clung to my hand for a bit as it dried.  No wonder she landed in the water, she was weighed down!
