Dart Hill garden
« on: May 10, 2007, 10:08:34 PM »
I had the opportunity to visit Dart Hill garden last Sunday. It is a private garden that has been donated to the City of Surrey. It is a very nice garden built by Mr. and Mrs. Dart. The garden has a wonderful collection of rare Rhodos and Magnolias. Unfortunately it was raining that day, but I got a few photos which I thoght some of you might like to see.
Here's the link to the album I have created.  http://www.pbase.com/waltsprings/dart_hill_park

What an interesting story and such beautiful gardens.  I was all excited because I'm going to be very near to Dart Hill (had no idea it existed) and thought I would take my mum there.  She would just love to see it but.... it's only open to visitors twice a year.  Rats!  I'm going to keep an eye open for next year's dates and maybe my sister will be able to take her.  Or better yet, time my next visit better!  Thanks for telling us about it.  Loved your photos too.  emm

THat is very pretty!  I bet you had a great time.  I would be in heaven in a big garden to just look through.

Thanks Tink and emm.

emm, next time you are visiting your mom let me know. Maybe we could meet somewhere and visit a garden or just go for coffee. I live close to Dart Hill too.

Thanks Maryvonne, I'd really like that.  I'm going to be out there for a few days next week but not sure how much time to myself I will actually have.  Will have to keep it in mind for my next visit though.  emm

Very beautiful pictures looks like a really beautiful place to visit.
