In the still of the night...
« on: May 28, 2007, 05:27:15 PM »
In the still of the night... you can catch a nightbloomer exposing it's beauty. The first shot was at night with a flash at about 1:30 am.
The other three shots were taken at about 8:00 am. the next morning.
Many people complain that the night bloomers become monsters and they do tend to go crazy but with a flower that is 7 inches across this early in the season you have got to love it.

By the way, for those who are wondering this is N. Mrs. George C. Hitchcock.

Beautiful...........

That's it, I've gotta get me another night bloomer.  Had one years ago, but that was before I knew how to over winter them....

Ponds are like patato chips, ya just can't have one.

Thanks Kim & Maryvonne.

Kim, I have been dividing and transplanting lilies since about 10 this morning. It's now almost 3. I still have about 30 to go.
Once you establish a night bloomer you don't have to buy them again.
I have Woods White Night and Mrs. George C. Hitchcock.
I did order a Red Flare and a Texas Shell Pink this morning from matherfish.
He seems to have quite a few.
