Shots around the yard today
« on: May 18, 2007, 07:12:33 PM »
A pic of some pinks, and old field cultivator with a face (that needs retouched badly  ;) ) --it looks like a sun, doesn't it?  Some false indigo and a pic of one side of my front porch,,,,the front flower beds are still pretty bare, things are slow to recover that cold snap we had and then with no rain.  We got an 1-1/2 inches this week which is bringing things along nicely...at last! @O@

I really like your "sun" LuAnn, however, your porch needs a rocking chair.......and me sitting in it to enjoy your garden... ;)  I like your house!

I would be on that porch all day checking out the place.

At the front side of the porch, there is a rocking swing....seats 3 comfortably!!! I'm kind of afraid to put anything very valuable on my porch,,one year while we were at the fair, someone came up and stole a wooden wagon wheel that the neighbor gave to DH from her own wagon many, many years ago!  We are so close to the road and now with the city moving to the country.....well, you know.. {:-P;;

Ohhh, that porch!  I love those big wrap around porches and the columns are gorgeous.  Well, the whole house is too.  It would be hard to get me off that porch, a glass of lemonade, a swing....

Thanks everyone, it's a great porch....lots of breezes throught there even on the hottest of summer days.  The long porch is on the north side, never any sun, and the side porch is east facing so only early morning sun.  I can sit on the porch and watch DH make hay in the hot sun... :P   lol

Your house is adorable. I'm so jealous. There are houses similar here but they are all in bad or expensive neighborhoods with really small yards. I just love it.

Your pinks look like Armeria, Sea Thrift, instead of Dianthus, Pinks or Carnations. I can grow Sea Thrift but every Dianthus I've ever planted has not come up again and they are plenty hardy here. If they are Dianthus, I am jealous there too. They smell so good.
