Dragonflies
« on: June 11, 2007, 12:37:29 PM »
Dragonflies have been hanging around for awhile now this year, but today had a different species.  I thought it was beautiful the way the wings are marked.  There were two earlier, I should have had my camera with me then.  I guess I'm going to have to start carrying my camera out the door each time I go, I missed a shot of an oriole yesterday too.

Then there is a pic of two of them starring each other down, there the most common here.

Great pics of them.  I've been having the blue/green ones buzzing around a lot & noticed one on the side yard like the patterned wing.  I usually don't get them around my koi pond but this year they are buzzing around it, too.  Maybe it is a VERY good year for dragonflies?

There is never enough room for all of the water lilies that I want ;-)

Oh I love the last little guy. I've seen two blue ones but haven't shot them.

Every now and then, I'll see one of the red colored ones.  Not often though.
