Pics of the walkout basement level
« on: July 01, 2007, 12:51:39 PM »
Now the lower part of the system.

This waterfall is more of a trickle type being that the mini pond is small.  I also like the sound effect...it sounds tropical to me...and because it is an amphitheatre type of design, the sound echoes off the rocks and house...very peaceful and relaxing...
The water is coming down and over the smaller cream boulder and down the large gray one....also have a mini fountain in the mini pond...

The wicker chair above the pond....

The little snowman who refuses to melt....even in the 100 degree weather....

My double recliner lounge 'bed' on the lower patio...1 month ago this was a pile of dirt here...laid the pavers a couple of weeks ago...

The view from the bed...

I hope you enjoyed this...

I really like what you've done!  O0 O0 I can see me falling asleep on that recliner while listening to the water.  I also like your choice of rocks and how you stacked them.  Very natural looking.

Wow, that's spectacular.  Your sitting area looks great.  I would spend all my time right there on the double recliner lounge 'bed', that looks so comfy, yup....I bet I would end up living out there.  Your ponds are just beautiful, and so are you rocks.

I love it and the rocks.  I am always looking for rocks, my son loves them to.  Today we went through the drive thru at McDonalds and they had redone their lanscaping and I said I liked their rocks and he said I told you we should have brought the truck  ;D ;D.  I was thinking the same thing  {:-P;; {:-P;;.  Anyway everything looks great  O0

Oh that is just gorgeous!!!!!!  I see a new siesta chair in my future!  Love that bed!!!  I have a chair that sits on my deck that I call my siesta chair because as soon as I sit down in it to relax I fall asleep to the sounds of my falls!  LOL!!!

After seeing both ponds, all the rocks and placements of plants and rocks, I think you must be an artist.  Your yard, ponds, garden and outdoor lounge are magnificent.  Great eye.

now that the constant onslaught of ooohs and aaahs has died down, let me respond to both your posts of your yard and ponds by saying how impressive it is that you have created such an oasis in the middle of suburbia!! looks like all your neighbors are lawn type people. too bad you can't build bigger fences to keep their reality out!! at least you've got paradise even if they don't have a clue!!
your TV room is certainly a unique addition. i think we would all enjoy something like that. with all the beauty you've created, i think most of the replies were expressions of jealousy over that inspiration!!
i have been thru utah a few times and it certainly is a desert environment. knowing how hot and and dry it can be really makes what you've done that much more impressive. we should certainly have you on the American Ponder's cross country pond tour as a 'must see'!!  :2thumbs:

if we stop by, we can spend the night by the pond, right?  :D

Beautiful falls.  Purple and yellow is one of my favorite color combos.
