« on: July 03, 2007, 06:44:25 AM »
I've got honey bees checking out my lilies again, a viviparous Colorado bloom, Excalibur is one of my new favorite blues, my extra Albert G. with Blue Star taking over my koi pond with all the the FREE baby koi, & Garet Uemura's "Kishin" meaning "Joyful Heart".

Thanks ... the vip baby has definitely grown a lot.  I'm leaving it attached to see what it does.

Tim--I sure hope you get some pretties out of those baby koi & the LW that you brought is still doing well  O0 O0

Now if only the RAIN would back off & let us have some HOT Sunny days for my slow to start tropicals to thrive.

I was going to ask the same thing.

Also, did you build those round ones?  How did you do it,,, without the sides bursting apart?

Beautiful pics - thanks for sharing.

I have 9 dedicated permanent lily ponds, 6 of which are the 350 gallon Applegate stock tanks.  Applegate no longer makes them in the dary grey, just blue.  I also set up a kiddie pool in the summer to hold baby lilies & extras.  Next year I'm hoping to get another pond built.

Your lilies are lovely.  I need to build myself one of those troughs...do you have pumps in all the lily tanks?

Thanks ... the ponds have pumps during the winter to prevent the water from freezing solid.  Yes, all of the extra lilies I sell come from my parent plants.  The 3 other ponds not shown are 8x8, 4x10, 4x8 & are the wood/liner construction.  Much easier for me to do above ground--I don't like to dig.  I do like to collect lilies, so that is why I've got so many lily ponds.  I keep regular goldfish in with the lilies plus mosquito fish.  I the winter I put on PVC hoops & cover with plastic on the wood ponds to give them a "greenhouse" effect.
