First hybrid bloom of the year...
« on: July 12, 2007, 11:51:50 AM »
This is my first hybrid bloom of the year. I am not over enthused by it, but it is pretty.
If it produces pollen I will be able to utilize it for future crosses. It has parents with spectacular genes so may be a keeper for breeding purposes.

Cheers,
Sean

It is pretty. Who are the parents? Are you still working on small blues? Hope to see some more of your hybrids soon.

Looks very pretty.  Wish I could understand the hybrid/cross thing or how it works but that's too much thinking  :D  Glad you understand it and produce so many wonderful blooms! 8)

Hey Sean:

I like the bloom too bad it isn't more blue, then I would say you have a keeper.  How is the spread?  To get more blue have your tried crossing with true blue lilies, I tried for several years in the late 80's to cross dauben with Blue capensis, but never got what I wanted.
