Kim, Mine is in full sun most of time also. They don't  seem to mind.   I don't know if it is because they are in water all the time. Maybe someone else would know. The ones behind the garage get quite a bit of shade.

Very nice!

I just love them but I did not put any in the pond this year.  In past seasons, long about August, I start getting leaks.  I believe that the roots are getting so packed under the rocks and the plants so large that they divert water out of the stream on the sides.  I am trying a test this year.  I did not put any in and I will see if I still have the problem.  If not, I will know.  Guess I will have to find a different way to have them in the pond if I can't put them bare root in the stream.

Wow, very nice in and out of the water. I too quit putting them in my stream as they got too big and diverted water out of the pond.

Impatiens require way too much water in dirt.  I quit planting any plant that requires that much water but in a stream or bog I'm sure they would love it.

Kim, I always plant impatiens, and guess what I found this year!  Impatiens for sun, they are pale pink.  They are called Fanfare Sun Impatiens.
