A few tropical waterlily blooms today...
« on: August 24, 2007, 10:34:44 AM »
I have a few blooms today but I really need to fertilize again, everything is shrinking from lack of energy and hot water temps.

Today we have my unnamed pink, my unnamed blue and Foxfire.

Cheers,
Sean

I love your unnamed hybrids... especially the way the petals on the pink have a rounded tip.

All 3 trop blooms have beautiful petals and coloring but my favorite has to be the unnamed blue.  Just beautiful!

I'll take the hint too for re-fertilizing too.  My lilies are wasted by the heat and are sending up small pads.  O0

Stunning Sean, I have the oppisite problem right now to much rain and a couple nights of low temps, even had one tropical decide it might be to cold for the new just started bud rising and it rotted off.  Need to fertalize also, maybe the rain will cease for the weekend and I can get in and do some trimming also which it needs.

Thanks everyone!

Gary,

Both the blue and the pink are from my own hybrids that I have been creating over the years so nothing named but definitely from stock you have seen me post over the years. I have stopped using other peoples hybrids in my crosses and am concentrating on my own stock. I have been able to predict better what will come of my own crosses now. I am still trying to create full doubles with large blooms that have a small spread.

Cheers,
Sean

Beautiful photos Sean. Your Foxfire is lovely. Nice looking hybrids. Looks like you are on the right track with those. I really like the blue one too.
