My Granddaughter, sort of....
« on: August 10, 2007, 02:32:13 PM »
Kiana is the daughter of my ex daughter-in-Law.  We are lucky, she married a good man and our relationship is good. My son and his GF go to Grandson's ballgames  with the parents.
They even go to the San Diego Charger games together as well.  Sure beats having a strained relationship!  Her half brother, Jake, below, IS MY biological GRANDSON.
He is an all star.!

Now who could look at Kiana and not smile back? What a beautiful little girl. That picture of the All Star is cool too. My camera could never catch a person in action like that.

Thanks Esther, his dad took the photo, so no credit for me there.
I showed Kiana's photo to an agency I did some work for, they flipped for her.
Her mom is working on an audition for them BOTH!  Print work only.
Get a load of this shot, he does slam it!

Beautiful girl Jerry and that boy has legs like a grasshopper. We are going paddling the creek with our grandkids today so might have just started another "post pictures of the Grandkids " thread.

Jake looks like he was born to play baseball and Kiana is just as cute as a bug.

Sounds like you raise a special boy yourself to have such a relationship with his EX and her family.

thank you all.
Jake seems to be a natural.  My son took him golfing with some clients.  He did so well the clients were annoyed.
I played pool with him, I scolded my son for not showing Jake how to make a bridge.  Larry said, "Take it easy with your criticism, this is his first time playing pool."
The kid made his shots doing it all wrong!
This is a 2 yr old pic. he is close to my height and will be a lot taller...I think.

Anette, they live in San Clemente, closer to you!  Yes, it is a nice place.  We should have moved there years ago!
My Parents loved fishing there as well as eating at Victor McLaughlin's restaurant. (long gone) I bet most here don't remember Victor Mclaughlin.
This shot was my folks in San Clemente in 1950.

That little girl is precious.  So dainty looking, and pretty.  Your grandson's action shots are stunning.  Great pics, and should be on the front pages of magazines.  You sound like the perfect Grandpa.

Of course I'm puzzled by what you said on that last post but am too polite to ask. LOL

By the way, you can be Grandpa to just about anybody. We have as 4 step grandkids. Pete has one bio grandkid and I have 3 bio grandkids. But my grandkids don't have much of an idea that he is a step Grandpa. A couple of them don't remember what their real gpa looks like and Braeden hasn't even seen Kevin's dad. I think it's been at least 5 years since my kids have seen or heard from their father. I figure if you're doing the job and they call you Grandpa, then you deserve the title.

Thanks Esther.  No puzzle, it is as I said. I never met him until I was 20, unless being an infant counts.

You are right Mike. In those days it was a day trip.  To you folks not local, they now go for 2 days and more.  The cost now is 300 to 500.00 bucks.  I will pass, unless the fish get within 4 hours out.
