Teasing Threatening Thunder!
« on: August 26, 2007, 10:22:56 AM »
We may be getting a very faint tail of Dean today.  It's been thundering in the distance and I can see how dark the clouds over the beach is but will we get some rain.  Our luck if we do get rain the raindrops may not even connect on the ground.

Been puttsing around the ponds and we found baby GF very tiny ones.  Now my DD is fishing "so we can save them"  :D  They are hiding in the water lettuce patch.  There goes the neighborhood!!

It's been a very unusual August with temps much cooler than normal.  I went for a brisk walk for a couple of hours at noontime and got just a spattering of sprinkles.  I didn't hear any thunder but then again I was wearing headphones and listening to music.....  We attended an outdoor concert last night and the weather was awesome.  Normally we would get a little chilly about 7pm but it was quite nice.

We had our thunderstorm come through in a splatter  :(  Just enough rain to make everything look like I need to dust outside.  Sun is making its way out now.

While it was overcast I was able to trim my lilies and fertilize most.  :)

We got 5 minutes of rain yesterday, does that count?

Kim

Ponds are like patato chips, ya just can't have one.

Our thunder storm lasted a split second.  We really desperately need rain in California to relieve our drought conditions.

Incredible!  My Hubbie and I were in San Clemente Saturday night for our Wedding Anniversary down by the Pier at the Cove.  It was a cool but balmy evening for a BBQ.  Missed the action Sunday.  Cool but scary.

We had close to no rain Sunday.  I think I sweat more doing yard work than there was rain!  lol
