Still have some blooms
« on: November 19, 2007, 12:21:01 PM »
I still have some tropical blooms & finally got most of my winterizing done.  Probably should hoop a couple more ponds but not sure I will get to it this year.  I run the pumps in the winter to help keep ice from forming.  Plus there is so much decay from the lilies the extra circulation is appreciated by the goldfish.

Kat

There is never enough room for all of the water lilies that I want ;-)

Your greenhouses look great, nice job!

Thinks look a bit different up here... lots and lots of dead leaves.

The hoops should keep those lilies happy until spring. Nice to still have blooms! Mine are tucked into the indoor tubs now under their lights. Hopefully they will all survive the winter. Spring seems so far away right now. We almost got snow today!

Lucky you! All my lilies are in bed for the winter. Its been so warm here late in the fall that they are rather confused. They keep trying to grow. Its supposed to turn colder this week so hopefully they will go to sleep.

It's no surprise you still have beautiful blooms Kat.  And they still look healthy!  Will you also have green houses for the smaller round tubs?  Is that the secret to having such healthy lilies?
