Nice photograph!  Your goldfinch is different looking than ours.  Ours don't have that pretty red forehead.

Wow!  The coloring is beautiful.  First glance I thought of the Japanese masks of Kabuki characters  :o

Either you have a steady hand to get those great zoom shots or your tele booth is a cutie bird magnet.  :D

These pics were taken through the window from the kitchen
I hung the bird feeder on to a potted tree and moved it a little closer to the window :)
I might try a little closer now that the birds have got used to it and don't fly away :)

How pretty!  But is it really a goldfinch?  Ours are gold, too.

Aha!  Maybe you have the European Goldfinch?  Ahem, since you are in Ireland that makes sense to me now.   ;)

What a gorgeous bird! I love the pattern & color on his little head.

Ours are yellow and black. I got to see tons of them in NY in there winter coats mostly dull and gray.

Our Goldfinches have their winter colors now, too. There are so many of them who eat from my feeder, It's really starting to add up.  :o

Thanks for the pic, whis4ey
