I have no patience
« on: March 19, 2008, 07:57:58 PM »
I really don't.  How do you all wait sooo long for everything to take course in this ponding business?  I can't wait till my algae disapears, I can't wait till my lilies bloom, I can't wait till my lotus bloom, I can't wait till my son moves out.....wait a minute, that's not part of ponding.  It's hard.  I'm soooo anxious.

It is hard in the beginning.  I think it does help teach us patients.  In the end it gives us go many beautiful rewards.

Is the a totally new pond?  Hang in there, it will all happen.

Kim

Ponds are like patato chips, ya just can't have one.

I daydream about what I might do different this year. Buy new lilies or trade for new lilies. Which pond I will put them in. Where I will put my other tropical plants. This hobby makes you learn patience.

I day dream as well.

Today I went to a local home improvement store and they had water plants.  I was surprised.  There have been posts, a few weeks ago, about this.  I purchased some water lettuce and iris.  This hobby is very fun and addictive.

It's difficult to transition from Marine to gardener.  There's a huge difference.  I'll get better and learn many things from everyone.

I don't have a problem with patience.  More likely I need a maid to clean my house inside while I stay outside in the yard!   ::)

Since last weekend I have been cleaning up my yards, front and back.  Garden work and pond work.  Trimming, repotting and planting after winter break is tough work.

It's nice to think that once I'm done working on the yard and pond there will be time to sit and enjoy....NO CHANCE!  I can't sit still in my yard unless of course I'm holding a wine glass...full that is.  :D :D  O0

Now if my 23 year old son would move out....I'd probably fill his room with more stuff!  8-)~

lol lol miguynmkoi, that's too funny.  I knew I'd get a kick out this thread.

I wish I could get someone to take care of the inside of my house, as well.  I've been on a week long vacation and I haven't done anything inside.  I've been outdoors taking care of my backyard.   @O@  Tomorrow is already Friday and I haven't even showered.  :D  Just kidding.

Ann I gotta tell you....from March till October---I do very little cleaning on the house.....I have hubby take over the vacuuming...we both pick up after ourselves...I do the cooking(but cook enough to last 2-3 meals)...He does the dishes.....Then November thru February I clean like a mad woman....It certainly is a vicious cycle  lol lol

Maybe if you had 6" of snow fall so far today like we did, you wouldn't be thinking about spring and flowers blossoming. LOL

Esther- That is so true.  However, snow and I do not get along.  I live in desert temps.  It's all lovely right now, but in a month I'll be wishing for snow.  120 degrees is nothing to be proud of.   :D

Trying to figure out how I can get the 125 gallon tank in my living room..and there is no room!!!

Dig a hole.  That always solves that problem.   O0  You can cover it up with a sofa or something.

Esther that is why I live in SoCal!  If I really want snow I just go to the mountains when they have snow.   :D
