What makes this site great
« on: April 09, 2008, 07:09:01 PM »
Is the differences in location, location, location!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was looking at Mikeys pics, ( awsome) and looked out my front window at my shade garden. (BROWN) meaning dirt, and I was thilnking that the cool thing about this site is how we are from all different parts of the world, with different climates. I'm drooling over Mikesy beautiful pics, and I have a foot or so of ice on one of my ponds.

Hey everyone--------Have a great ponding year O0 O0 O0 O0 O0 O0 O0

Thank You Steve!

I think it's amazing that Mikey has so many beautiful plants growing in his garden too.  He only lives about 20 minutes away from me  :D  He definitely has a green thumb.  O0

Living in a warmer climate, I take for granted, I am amazed at the many things ponders in colder weather have to endure and of their constructive ingenuity.  I can't complain much after reading and learning from so many posts here.

Learning lots and meeting many!  Happy Ponding to all!  @O@

I have long enjoyed the differences between us in plants we can grow and food we cook. I have a ton of recipes saved from forum members over the years. There are many common Eastern plants mentioned here that I've never heard of. It has been interesting.

The weather differences, well, they make me really want to move........ ::)

LeeAnne, Funny you should say that. I was making the Hungarian Cabbage Rolls that someone had posted years ago, and kicking myself because I didn't print out her name on the recipe. Now I can't remember who it was.
The title of the post was "Hungarian Cabbage Rolls for Karen et al". And the author was a gal with a Hungarian ex mother in law and an Irish/Norwegian husband.
Anyone?  :D

I love looking at peoples pictures. Remember back in the dark ages, when that was rare? Things have really marched on.

All the beautiful ponds, gardens, plants and enthusiastic people are great!  Since I've  been visiting here more often I have really been inspired.   So much so that I worked my *** off in the garden today.  @O@  Now I could use a little more inspiration please.   ;)

Yes, all of the above (below) and the fact that inter-forum conflicts are absolutey NOT allowed here under any circumstances.
People can leave their unresolved anger issues at the door. 8) :P ::) 8) :P ::)

No one wants to come here and see someone ranting and raving about crap that happens at other forums. {-)

Drop the grudges and anger and hate...and you'll be happier and healthier. :2thumbs:
