Gary, yes, all these photos were taken tonight when I got home from work between 5-6pm.
The windflowers are a type of Anemone...
Anemone blanda. Get about 3-4" high,
and spread by division and seeds.
They are an early spring bloomer and I planted them amongst the chartreuse Sedum Angelina because I love the color combo.
Remember, we're 100 miles east of Manhattan on the North Fork of LI, in a microclimate created by the bodies of water around us,
which include LI Sounds, Peconic Bay, and the Atlantic Ocean.
The Quince started blooming last weekend.
Prickly stuff though.
The May Apples, aka
Podophyllum peltatum are about to bloom too.
