New pics
« on: May 07, 2008, 08:41:58 PM »
I lost my memory card to my camera, so I haven't taken any pictures in quite awhile.  Here I am showing my son the ropes.  Another of my butterfly koi, an attraction, and a couple of roses.  I don't have the best of luck with roses, but I keep on keeping on with them.

Love the little red chair! Can I sit in it?
 @O@

Your roses are lovely. What is your water like? My rose "secret" is iron rich water - and I fertilize them with koi. (The roses are planted on the koi cemetery).

Joey- He love to feed the fish.  He also helps me skim the surface of the pond with that plastic shovel.

Sunbeam- You can borrow the chair any time.  I heard about using fish bones in a rose garden.  Do you get large blooms?  I'm going to try it.  Thanks for sharing your secret.

I meant to tell you that someone should really send you a better shovel LOL   ;)  My boys like to skim out grass clippings with a net after I mow too...

Your little boy is adorable. It's so much more fun having a pond when you've got kids around to enjoy it. My 6 year old can finally skim without destroying the lilies.  @O@

That IS an adorable photo of Son and Dad.  Are those beautiful koi's longfins?   So late into the year and my lilies are not blooming yet!?!  But enjoy your bloom and everyone else's.  ::)

Sunbeam:  Don't want to sound morbid but the question needs an answer.  I worry about cats digging up the dirt if I bury my dead pets.  How deep do you bury them?

Thanks guys.  They are not longfins, just regular type butterflies.

Alfonso,

Very nice pics, I love your koi.  How cute your son is!  Your little rose looks like one of mine.  Looks like you have a very nice place there.
