Kim it is a Master lock  I will try it.
My last Master lock my wife got at UCLA in the late 40s!  It did fine until I wiped paint into the number grooves to make it more readable.  Must have gotten paint into the works!  That was the end of that lock.  I guess all the combo locks are good for is to keep kids out! :'(

Would that work on a keyed lock? Probably not, right??

When we built our garden shed in NY, as soon as we were done we put one of those locks on it and left for dinner. When we came back, someone had simply unscrewed all the hinges on the doors. They took everything inside the shed, which (fortunately) only consisted of the tools we used to build it.

So now we use a keyed Shurgard lock... yet all the hardware on the hinges is exposed.  ::)

There is a secret to all locks that people should be aware of and I will share it with you now.

Locks keep honest people honest.

That is all they are good for.

Locks keep lazy people honest too.

Hanging around the courthouse like I do, I'm always amazed at the energy and inventiveness that people go to for the purpose of committing crimes. Its easier to be honest.

I could never understand that, either. All that work, and for what? It's so much easier to be on the up and up. More relaxing, too.
I find that is also true with liars. They spend the majority of their lives trying to backtrack and cover things up, all that work, ad-infinitum, when they could have just told the truth in the first place and gotten it over with.
