Yep, Happy 4th to everyone @O@

t's a shame so many don't know what the 4th is all about.
The urge to acheive diversity is making us a hundred little countries. We seem to honor every culture but ours! :'(

God Bless America!  A great 4th to all!

It was pouring hard here early this morning.  Everytime I plan a cook-out, birthday party, or anything to be outside it either rains or is so hot you can't stand to be outside.

Right now it looks like the skies are going to open up any minute again.  Sure hope it clears before everyone gets here.  Took the swing cushion and put it over the rails of the deck, wipeing off tables etc.  About the time I get it all dried out it will probably rain again.  LOL

From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee,
across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Houston and New York to L.A.,
Well, there's pride in every American heart,
and it's time to stand and say:

I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died to give that right to me.
And I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land.
                         God Bless the U.S.A.

Hear, hear, Jerry!  Well put!

My gang of friends will be hanging out on someone's front porch this evening, then we're all moving over to a friend's house, who has a 4th floor deck, and we were there last year, and it was the most spectacular fire works display I've ever seen, because you could see fireworks going off in four directions all around us, from displays all over the city.

Tomorrow, I'm tearing down and redoing my small bog that has the "waterfall rocks" in it.  It's made of a plastic spillway container meant to hold heavy gravel and water, but it's started to sag and deform, so I have to empty everything out, distrupt the plants, move all that gravel, and figure out a way to give it better support.
