Our local newspaper, The Charlotte Observer, a liberal rag, has a website, Charlotte.com, on which they produce “local color” articles for the paper and for the website. Recently, they did a story on Judith Felson, a Chicago native who moved to Asheville, NC, and later to Charlotte, each time moving her flower garden along with the usual personal items. Mrs. Felson was inundated by local garden clubs asking to tour her garden. As luck would have it, Judith and her husband Carl, had been to my garden and ponds several years ago and decided to include my yard in a tour as well, should I agree. The tour happened to include the Observer reporter who had done the original article on Judith’s garden and she asked if one of the other reporters could come and video and take still pictures for an article on Charlotte.com. We agreed and a lady came and took lots of pictures and video. The result has been posted on Charlotte.com.
Near the bottom is a picture of an orange Turk’s Cap Lily. Click on it to see the video. Interestingly, you can hear the "boys" (My famous beagles) whining while the picture of the Crocosmia is being shown.
