Pics from last year
« on: July 20, 2008, 07:36:02 AM »
I thought I would these  pics that I took  last year of a couple of my flowers. The first one ,I have no idea what they are called,is located  at what now is the back of my upper pond. These will bloom from now until late August. I have to tie them up every year.

The 2nd one is a pic of a Monarch that came to visit one of my pots

Very colorful!  Just a guess, but the tall yellow flowers may be a type of Rudbeckia.

Nice pop of yellow there Rick.

I have some Inca lilies that also require tieing up, but I never have, so they sort of just lay across the lawn in places. I am always amazed at plants that can't support their own weight / height.

Cheers,

Mike

Anytime I see something screech across a room and latch onto someone's neck, and the guy screams and tries to get it off, I have to laugh, because what is that thing?

Those are pretty.  I love it when ya have flowers that come back each year.  Trying to be good, to buy only prenials.  I get tired of digging in the fall.  I have some Rudbeckia/black eyed susans.  I love them, they get bigger every year.  I took two chunks last year and put on either side of my falls.  One side made it, the other side didn't.

Ponds are like patato chips, ya just can't have one.
