Thanks, everyone, for the kind comments.
Joey, I have attached a photo of the fountain in the spa/pond. It is from Coghlan Gallery in New Orleans. It was hand made by Mr. Coghlan and I am sorry to say that they went out of business after Katrina.
For those of you who asked about my spa to pond process....here goes. I removed all of the plumbing fittings, then using an electric sander with 30 grit sandpaper, I sanded the entire inside to remove the gel coat on the fiberglass. Next, I fiberglassed all of the holes left from the old plumbing. Next, I cut new holes so I could later install bulkhead fittings for the new plumbing. Then, I painted the inside with a fish safe epoxy paint (from Auqatic Eco Systems in FL. 2 coats. Very easy to use.
Then all that is left is to install the bulkhead fittings, place in ground and install plumbing fittings.
It is pretty involved, but I think that it is well worth the effort. I only paid $65.00 for the spa at the Habitat store. The paint cost me $93.00 with shipping. The bulkhead fittings were $40.00. I did one last year using a Habitat fiberglass shower stall (one with a ceiling) and it turned out great.
