Flying jewel
« on: July 25, 2008, 06:47:09 PM »
I took these this evening. I have ruby throated hummingbirds visiting the feeder about every 15 minutes these days. The seated one is the female and the flying one is the male. His throat doesn't look red because of the angle of the light.

Hi Kathy I've missed you posting regularly here, hope all is well...

Great pix, I'm having to fill my feeders at least once a week now because the hummers have really been at it.  I need to get something to keep the darn ants out though.

Great shots of the hums!  The 2nd shot shows how fast he's beating his wings!

Great shots! I wish we have them here, we do have humming bird moth which a lot of people mistake it as hummingbird.

Bonnie,
The ant guards really work and are only about $3.

Tink, I took ALOT of shots to get some good ones. I am using my Mom's Samsung and I can't find the action mode. My Kodak self destructed (my second, no more Kodak for me!)
